Serlo aims to become one of the best learning plattforms. To reach this goal we need many contributors with many different areas of expertise and knowledge. We need more contributors than one city could provide. That is why we need to attract people from different cities. To keep them contributing we need City Teams.
For a team to stay alive members need to have a strong feeling of belonging. Working for free education needs commitment and support. It difficult to establish a sense of belonging if you never see other team members in real life. That's why we need City Teams with regular meetings, social events, academies, and parties. They ensure a vibrant team life and are therefore essential for the wider Serlo family to grow and exist.
