Creating arrows on serlo.org

This article will show you the different methods to write arrows in content on serlo.

There are two methods:

  • writing them directly in the text (-->)

  • writing them with the help of LaTeX ()

Arrows directly in the text

You can write the following arrows directly in the text:

  • ->

  • -->

  • =>

  • ==>

But you can also create arrows that look more prefessional. How that works will be explained in the next section.

Arrows in LaTeX

Using the "math mode" to create arrows with LaTeX

To write formulas in the math mode click on the fx symbol in the toolbar or press crtl + m. Then you can choose between visual and LaTeX mode in a small dropdown menu. Select the LaTeX mode and put in the text from the respective column in the now following table.

When creating arrows with LaTeX you have to start with the \ character. To create that character press alt gr + ?

In this table only arrows to the right are shown. To create arrows to the left just exchange the word "right" with "left"
