Inverse of trigonometric functions

The functions arc sine, arc cosine and arc tangent (commonly called arcsin⁡,sin−1⁡,asin) are the inverse functions of the trigonometric functions sine, cosine and tangent, i.e. they assign an angle to a ratio.

For example, if cos⁡(α)=x, thenarccos⁡(x)=α by applying the arc cosine.

sin⁡(x+π)=1

Wende auf beiden Seiten die Umkehrfunktion arcsin⁡ an.

x+π=arcsin⁡(1)
↓

Löse nach x auf.

x=arcsin⁡(1)−π
↓

Verwende, dass arcsin⁡(1)=π2. Betrachte hierzu den obigen Graphen von Arkussinus.

x=−π2

Ableitungen

Die Ableitungen der trigonometrischen Umkehrfunktionen lassen sich mithilfe der Regel für die Ableitung einer Umkehrfunktion ermiteln:

Funktion

Ableitung

arcsin⁡(x)

arcsin′⁡(x)=11−x2

arccos⁡(x)

arccos′⁡(x)=−11−x2

arctan⁡(x)

arctan′⁡(x)=11+x2
